National Certificate Level 5 in Construction Supervision
COURSE OBJECTIVE
The National Certificate Level 5 in Construction Supervision is designed to provide people credited with
the qualification the skills and knowledge required by a capable construction supervisor.
ELIGIBILITY
- Either SC with National Certificate Level 4 in Carpentry or National Certificate Level 4 in Construction
or equivalent or National Certificate Draughtsmanship - Or 2 ‘A’ Levels including one Technical Subject or GCE ‘O’ Level with 3 years’ experience in the
trade.

- Implementation of health and safety plan procedures on site
- Implementation of on-site hazard identification and hazard management on construction sites
- Implementation and reporting of onsite emergency response on a construction site
- Construction methods and supervision of the installation of proprietary ceiling and wall systems
- Application of the concept, principles and theories of motivation in a leadership context
- Preparation of the order lists for a residential or light commercial building on site
- Demonstration of knowledge of working drawings, specifications and quantity lists
- Participation in groups and/or teams to make decisions

National Certificate Level 4 in Draughtsmanship (in collaboration with MITD)
